Feet earn holiday present

Webb coach Jeff Mitchell didn't have much to say after his squad's victory Friday night at the Barton Athletic Center.

And why would he?

His Feet blitzed visiting Currey Ingram Academy from start to finish in a convincing 72-25 win, improving their record to 3-6 on the season.

"The kids shot it well tonight; it's the best we've shot it so far this year," Mitchell said. "We got to play everybody and most of them scored some points, so it's a good feeling going into the holidays."

Luke Baum tossed in a game-best 18 points for Webb. Mic Floeter added 11, while Will Murphy and Hunter Foutch tacked on 10 each.

The Mustangs were paced by Ethan Hill and Christian Greer with eight tallies apiece.

The Feet opened the game on a 10-0 spurt and followed that up with a huge 17-4 run to grab complete control at 27-4 after the initial period.

The home team built its advantage to 44-12 by the break before cruising to the easy victory in the second half.

Webb hosts county rival Community on Jan. 5.
