Gaby Bussell scored a game-high 15 points for the ninth-ranked Lady Rockets (22-8) while Blair Foster added 12.
Katie Dunn and Amy Mullins led the Lady Cougars (19-9) with 13 points apiece.
The Chapel Hill girls carried a 17-12 lead into the second quarter, held a 26-21 advantage at halftime and was up 42-35 entering the fourth period.
Both teams host games in the first round of the Region 5-A tournament later this week.
Van Buren County 55, Eagleville 48: Rachel Delon came up big with 19 points to guide the Eaglettes to third place in 9-A. Lauren Grissom sank all eight free throw attempts and finished with 13 points. Porsche McDonald contributed 11.
Kendra Harrell totaled 12 points to pace the Lady Eagles (14-13).
Van Buren County (19-12) was up 21-16 at halftime.
