Evelyn "Granny" Elmore Mealer, 77, of Chapel Hill died Friday after an extended illness. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill with the Rev. Tim McGehee and the Rev. Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill.

Visitation will begin 5 p.m. Saturday.
