A suspect who allegedly attempted to run from Bedford County Courthouse was picked up several blocks away within moments Tuesday afternoon.
James William Hill, 33, White Street, was captured behind a building on East Lane Street near the Deery Street intersection.
Hill, charged with jail escape and violation of parole, is now back at Bedford County Jail being held without bond.
A Ford Mustang GT was stolen from Mark Pirtle Ford since Thursday.
The car was last seen when a salesperson moved it so the parking lot could be repaved, police said.
