Photos with Santa at the T-G

Santa Claus will be available for photos Saturday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Times-Gazette offices, 323 East Depot Street.

Photos, to be taken by Front Page Photography, will be free for T-G subscribers, $3 for non-subscribers.

Photos taken at this event -- or any other photo of your child with Santa -- can be submitted between now and Tuesday for a special feature which will be published on December 17. The cost for a photo to be included in the Santa page is $7.

Parade: Shelbyville Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Jaycees and the Chamber of Commerce, will begin Saturday at 6 p.m. This year's theme is "A Magical Christmas."

Members of the Brig. Gen. Austin Shofner detachment of the Marine Corps League will collect Toys For Tots donations along the parade route.

The parade will follow the normal route. It will organize along Lane Parkway and begin at the intersection of Lane Parkway and Cannon Boulevard. It will go south on Cannon to Holland, east on Holland to the public square, north on Main to Madison, and then east on Madison to the former Kroger / K-Mart shopping center.
