"Defensively, I was really happy…we didn't give up any more than 10 in one quarter," Feet coach Jeff Mitchell said. "Even though we struggled offensively early on, I thought we did a really good job in our three-quarters defense because we thought we could give them some trouble with our traps."
Webb (14-2) trailed 8-3 midway through the first period, but whittled the deficit down to 10-8 heading to the second stanza.
Logan Burchett's consecutive 3-pointers pushed the home team in front 15-12 with 4:00 remaining in the first half. Then, helped by continuous defensive pressure leading to turnovers, the Feet put together an impressive 10-0 spurt just before halftime to take control.
"I thought it was big to get the lead to 10 at the half and then we tried to make the point in the locker room to come out and get it to 20," Mitchell said. "Jordan Burchett kind of put us on his back and made some good reads to get us some layups in the third quarter."
The hosts kept the momentum in the third period and gradually expanded their cushion to 21 with a game-clinching 17-6 outburst.
"I thought our guys coming off the bench stepped in, executed and did a really good job in the second half," Mitchell said. "It shows that they are paying attention in practice and improving."
Webb outscored the Knights 14-10 in the fourth period en route to the 25-point win.
Hunter Foutch guided the Feet with 14 points, while Logan Burchett and Jordan Burchett tacked on 13 and 11, respectively.
Franklin Classical was led by Taylor Huskey's 13 tallies.
"This was just a mature effort coming off an emotional game at Cascade (Monday) night and four games in five days," Mitchell said. "They had every right to come out flat and maybe call this one in, but they came out and played hard, so it was a good effort."
The Feet hit the road again Saturday night, making the trip to McMinnville to meet up with Boyd Christian.
