According to Coalition President Coleman March Sr. of Lynchburg, all proceeds from these events will go toward financial awards to selected college students in the coalition's membership area.
"Our awards are given to students who have a need and demonstrate a sincere desire to stay in school by maintaining a passing grade point average," said March. "Every year since 1989, this organization has awarded $1,000 to deserving students."
