Down by three points entering the second half, Webb had aspirations of pulling off an upset and rounding out their regular season schedule with a victory on Friday night at University School of Nashville.

However, it wasn't meant to be as the hosts outscored the Lady Feet 25-6 in the third quarter and went on to win 60-35.

"We played a pretty solid first half and in the third quarter they just ate us up," Webb coach Jeff Mitchell said. "We did not play well offensively. We just never could generate enough offense."

Webb (9-14, 2-6 East/Middle Region) got 15 points from Elizabeth Lawrence.

The Lady Tigers were up 9-8 after a quarter and 18-15 at the half.

Erin Drake netted 23 points to pace USN. Kristi Nye had 13 and Lindsey Khim 10.

USN 55, Webb 50 (B): The Bell Buckle boys fought back from being nine points down in the second half and tied it at 41-all. USN then got a 3-pointer and the Feet never got over the hump.

"We did rebound at times well tonight," Mitchell said. "We lost some kids in transition."

Webb (19-4, 7-1) placed three in double figures. Jordan Burchett paced them with 16 points. Logan Burchett followed closely with 15 and Hunter Foutch had 12.

The game was tied at 15-all after eight minutes of action before the Tigers went into the half ahead 27-21.

USN's Ricky Coleman led all scorers with 19. James Byrd chipped in 15.

Webb enters play in the East/Middle Region tournament next week.
