Get ready to hit the links for a good cause.

The Exchange Club of Bedford County has announced its first major fund raiser, Puttin' for Prevention, to be held April 19 at Blackberry Ridge.

All proceeds will benefit The Center for Family Development.

"We are very excited to be in the community and helping to prevent child abuse and neglect. This is going to be an excellent way to raise community awareness for a very real problem we have in Bedford County," stated Exchange Club President Sylvia Pinson.

The Exchange Club is a national organization that focuses on making the community a better place to live through various programs of service.

The Bedford County club organized last July and quickly began searching for ways to raise awareness of the plight of some children in the county.
