Cascade Middle made the most of their five hits in their school's first-ever middle school softball game to win 7-5 over visiting Middle Tennessee Christian on a windy Thursday afternoon.

Kelsey Parker scorched the Lady Cougars' right fielder with a triple to put her team up 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth.

Ashlynne Miller hurled a complete game, striking out a pair while issuing but one walk to pick up the 'W'.

MTC was the victim of six defensive miscues but did smack out eight hits.

MTC 11, Cascade 3: Jennifer Molder doubled, singled and walked to account for half of the Lady Champion base knocks but it wouldn't be enough.

Brittney Tosh started on the bump for the Orange and Black. Parker and Molder provided the relief pitching.

Cascade hosts Westwood Middle for another doubleheader on Monday afternoon at 4:30.
