The Vikings (2-0) got 10 hits from the top of their order as Cody Pierce and Michael Smith had three safeties each and Lance Paschal joined Kelby Demonbreum with two.
Michael Smith was the beneficiary of the Viking offensive outburst, winning his first-ever appearance on the mound by going three and two-thirds innings allowing four earned runs on two hits and six walks. He struck out four.
Sophomore right-hander Paschal took over to get the last four outs of the game allowing no hits and striking out two.
"We played well today and had a good effort from all of the kids," Community coach Josh Burrahm said. "Michael threw the ball good for it to be his first time on the mound and Lance came in and threw well to finish it off for us. We hit the ball a lot better today."
Casey Myers pitched three innings for the Broncos. He gave up 10 earned runs on eight hits while striking out four and allowing two free passes.
Mitchell Young pitched two innings in relief and gave up three earned runs on five hits. He walked one.
Community visits Huntland on Friday. The first pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
