Hutton's squads upend Tullahoma

The Shelbyville Central tennis teams swept through Tullahoma at H.V. Griffin Park on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles and Eaglettes both won 6-1.

"I really like the energy our boys are bringing to their matches," Shelbyville coach Doyle Hutton said. "They had more of a challenge today than they did Tuesday and will face stronger opponents ahead, but there's a lot of potential on this team. Their enthusiasm is driving their improvement.

"The girls match today was less challenging than Tuesday's. As a result, they had a chance to relax and focus on their game. I think they gained some confidence after being dominated by Lincoln County. I'm hoping some team leaders will emerge that will bring some of the kind of energy the boys are playing with to the girls."

Shelbyville resumes play Tuesday at Coffee County at 3:30 p.m.
