The Lady Lions made the most of their five hits but were aided offensively by six Lady Feet errors.
"Cannon County hit really well to start the game, but overall I was pleased with our overall effort," Webb coach James Garcia said. "In the fifth we committed five errors and that is just unacceptable."
Emily Sissom earned the 'W' on the bump. She fanned five, walked one and gave up two hits over five innings.
Losing pitcher Savannah Scarlett worked 4 1/3 innings. She walked six and gave up four hits.
Cannon County 12, Webb 2: Seven errors in the second inning led to 11 runs for the Lady Lions.
"We lost focus and started making a lot of mental errors," Garcia said. "We are a very young team but dropping routine flyballs and throwing the ball all over the place is unacceptable."
Sissom worked three shutout innings of two-hit ball in the victory.
Ashleigh Knotts took the loss for the Lady Feet after allowing three walks and two hits in 1 1/3 innings pitched.
Webb takes the short ride over to Cascade for a doublheader on April 1.
"The worst thing we can do is put our heads down and get frustrated," Garcia added. "We have to work to improve and learn from each game."
