Mayor Don Gallagher said this morning that the situation with the water supply was "still over the limit" and that he had no idea when the advisory would be lifted, but guessed that it would continue over the weekend.
The continued rainfall has been a factor in the advisory to boil water before use, which Gallagher characterized as simply a precaution.
"No samples have turned up anything," Gallagher said.
A drinking water warning was issued for the system Tuesday due to high turbidity levels and the potential of contaminated water. Gallagher said Thursday that the wet weather could delay the lifting of the water warning.
Also, Bell Buckle officials said Thursday they are in the process of flushing their lines and testing more water samples so they can be assured of their water quality. They will keep the public appraised of the results of these tests and when the "Boil Water Alert" can be lifted.
