Bell Buckle, which has two different options for its water supply, began taking its water from Bedford County Utility Distrct when the Wartrace-owned water system began having a problem. Bell Buckle officials had said Thursday they were in the process of flushing their lines and testing more water samples so they can be assured of their water quality.
Gallagher said late Friday that the turbidity had dropped to near acceptable levels this morning, but heavy rain drove it back up.
