"You can't win if you don't score."

That quote from Webb soccer coach Adrian Anderson pretty well tells the story following his team's 2-0 loss to visiting University School of Nashville on Tuesday afternoon.

"We were in front of the net with the ball more than once and we should have scored some goals," Anderson said. "That is the frustrating thing because I've got to find the right mix to start scoring some goals. Until we start scoring, it's not going to matter how well we do everywhere else."

The two squads battled to a very even first half with each having a couple of great chances to get on the board.

Sean Kim's header, which would have put the Feet ahead early in the opening 40 minutes, just missed the back of the net.

In the 25th minute, the Tigers missed on open net by firing wide left and Webb goalkeeper Zach Crownover made a clutch point blank save at the 34:30 mark to keep the game scoreless.

Crownover added another huge save just five minutes later to preserve a 0-0 tie at halftime.

The Tigers (4-2-1, 3-1-1 East/Middle Region) then found the net on a Webb defensive lapse just 4:30 into the second half to grab a 1-0 advantage.

Zack Wagner had the Feet's best opportunity to score at the 17:30 mark in the final period, but the USN defense held tough and kept the hosts off the board.

The visitors sealed their victory with a late goal at the 29:15 mark.

"You do all the passing and all the work all over the field and give them three great chances," Anderson said. "They scored on two of them and Zack (Crownover) made a great save on the other one, but that's just what it is about in this game."

Webb (3-2-2, 2-2-1) welcomes Mt. Juliet Christian to Bell Buckle for a non-region matchup Thursday at 5.
