Cascade witnessed it first hand on Thursday afternoon, albeit at their expense. Pitcher Chrissy Worth and a solid Cornersville defense gave nothing more than a series of U-turns, not allowing a single Lady Champion to reach base in an 8-0 win.
Worth struck out the first four batters she faced and finished with 14 Ks.
District 11-A's Lady Bulldogs got all the runs they needed and more in the second inning where they plated six girls. Lori Beth Adams, Tori Wolaver and Amanda Griggs all banged out hits to compound the problem for Cascade, who registered five errors in the frame.
Wolaver and Worth led the victors with a pair of hits each.
Leigha Carter took the loss for Cascade (11-4). She gave up eight hits and did not issue a walk but was done in partially by seven errors behind her.
The Lady Champs look for a return to their winning ways and a bit of revenge when they bus to Richland on Monday at 5:30. The Lady Raiders took the first matchup 6-1 in Wartrace back on March 13.

When spring sports teams are on the road, often the T-G relies on coaches or a school representative to call in results for game stories. No one called from Cascade regarding the Eagleville and Richland games.
Has the T-G sports staff stopped covering Lady Champs softball? They've played two games since this story was posted, and I can't find a story about either of them.
I believe Worth only pitched 5 innings and another pitcher completed the final 2 innings for a combined perfect game. Also Cascade has a makeup game scheduled for Sunday afternoon with Eagleville I was told.
