"It's evidence of the hard work the boys have put in all year," Cascade coach Chris Parker said. "It's just a step in the ladder for where we want to go."
The fourth-ranked Champions improved to 20-4 overall and wrapped up district play 11-1.
Cascade has not given up a run in 13 straight innings thanks in part to Kyle Clanton's two-hit shutout. The senior righty struck out 10, walked one and carried a no-hitter into the fourth inning.
Neither team sniffed the plate over the first three frames.
Clanton, Tyler Bowen and Michael Buck all drew walks in Cascade's five-run fourth. Justin Bryant contributed a single in the frame and Josh Brown laid down a perfectly-executed suicide squeeze bunt.
Nick Batts singled twice to pace the Champs' eight-hit attack.
Cascade heads to Fayetteville on Thursday to battle Class AAA foe Lincoln County at 7 p.m.

Just wanted the Cascade Champions baseball team to know how proud all of us parents are of each and everyone of them. My son Tyler Bowen is very dedicated to the sport and has been since he was a little boy. I have enjoyed watching him grow into such a awesome player. Cascade is such a wonderful school and provides a great athletic source for the young kids. Chris Parker has been a great influence on the team as well as the other coaches. My son has learned a great deal from all of the coaches. Thank you again for allowing my son the opportunity to be involved with such a great group of young men and adults.
