The incidents occurred on South Cannon Boulevard, Hilltop Drive and Brookhaven Circle, Shelbyville police said. One of the victims is a police officer.
Doors were pried and locks cut to gain entry, according to police. Tire tracks indicating a vehicle had been backed to a shed were found at the officer's home.
Other burglaries reported to area authorities: *Condensers were cut from a rooftop air conditioning unit on one building and copper wires from an adjoining building at Pogue's Body Shop, West Lane Street, between April 19 and Saturday.
Owner Dewayne Pogue told police he discovered the theft after noticing aluminum shavings in the firm's paint room.
*Contents of a truck bed tool box were taken overnight Thursday at a Nashville Dirt Road home, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Department report.
Drugs found
A man asked by an officer if he had marijuana in his possession responded by handing him some of the substance wrapped in paper, police said.
Travis Antione Verge, 26, Woodland Avenue, was stopped for allegedly running a stop sign at the South Hillcrest Drive-Birch Street intersection early Sunday night.
Officer Waymond Boyd said he could smell marijuana while approaching the car.
Verge was charged with possession of a schedule VI drug and held at Bedford County Jail pending $1,500 bond.
