Winning lottery ticket stolen

A thief took a gamble and won last Friday, making a loser out of a $500 lottery winner.

An employee of a Bedford County farmer took the Tennessee Lottery ticket from the glove box of his boss's vehicle, the Bedford County Sheriff's Department was told this week.

The employee had driven the vehicle between 3-4 p.m. Friday and the ticket was validated at a Shelbyville convenience store at 4:47, according to the BCSD.

Jail intake

The following persons were arrested since Monday by the Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force and processed through Bedford County Jail. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.

*Vivian Regina Caldwell, 42, Deery Street; violation check law; summons delivered

*Paul Blandon Haradon II, 32, Kingston Corner Road; DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule VI drug; released, $3,750 bond

*Rocendo Sebastian Juan, 33, Smith Road; domestic assault; held, $5,000 bond

*Salome Burgos Lopez, 38, Archery Lane; driving on revoked/suspended license; released, $500 bond

*Mary Jean Phillips, 35, Kingwood Avenue; truancy; released, $1,000 bond

*Justin Michael Richie, 27, Smyrna; violation of probation; held, $2,500 bond

*Randall Curtis Wilkins, 45, Tullahoma; violation of order of protection; released, $10,000 bond
