Debit cards, billfolds stolen

Lost debit cards and billfolds attracted the eyes of thieves this week.

*A debit card accidentally left in an ATM at Ascend Credit Union, Madison Street, was stolen moments later and used to buy $55 in gas.

Three further attempts to use the card were unsuccessful.

*A billfold lost at Musgrave Park was found with $200 and a debit card missing.

The card was used six times before police were notified Wednesday.

Other incidents reported to Shelbyville police:

*Medication, a purse and a black leather jacket were taken Wednesday from a car at Northside Medical Center, North Main Street.

The victim, who uses a walker, said she went to a nearby store to call police because she didn't want to "cause a scene" at the clinic.

*A catalytic converter was stolen from a car at Ed's Motors, Madison Street, within the past week.

Jail intake

The following persons were arrested since Wednesday by the Shelbyville Police Department, Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force and processed through Bedford County Jail. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.

*Antoni Danta Hix, 22, Temple Ford Lane; held for extradition

*Doug Allen Howell II, 22, Tullahoma; driving on revoked/suspended license; released, $1,000 bond

*Shayne Keith King, 39, Jonathan Court; domestic assault; held, $2,500 bond

*Wanda Michelle Nash, 40, South Cannon Boulevard; public intoxication; held, $500 bond

*Andrea Leigh Rhodig, 28, Barksdale Lane; violation of probation; released, $2,500 bond

*Albert Eugene Rucks, 29, Bird Street; driving on revoked/suspended license; released, $1,000 bond

*Webb Alex Thomas, 31, Nashville; driving on revoked/suspended license; released, $250 bond

*Donald Hodge Wilson, 61, Shelbyville; public intoxication; held, $250 bond
