Long ride doesn't slow Feet

Monday, May 5, 2008

Webb showed no ill-effects of a six-hour bus ride to Seymour by taking down East/Middle Region foe King's Academy 2-1 on Friday night.

Sean Kim got the Feet (8-3-2) on the board with a goal off an assist from Zach Wagner in the 10th minute, which was the only net-thinner of the opening half.

Wanger banged home the eventual game-winning goal in the 55th minute. Caleb Rasnick assisted.

The Lions made things interesting with a goal off a free kick in minute 78.

"Our back line of Sebastion (Skordallos), Adam (Brooks), Rex (Lee) and Junwoo (Chang) played brilliantly," Webb coach Adrian Anderson said.

Feet goalkeeper Zach Crownover totaled 12 saves.

Webb faces King's again in the region semifinals at University School of Nashville on Tuesday at 5.
