Tija Marie Murphy, 19, Moulder Road, the driver, and Joshua Wayne Clanton, 24, Meadowlark Drive, were extricated by Shelbyville Fire Department personnel after the accident, which was reported at 10:30 p.m.
Clanton was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville after initial treatment at Bedford County Medical Center, police said. Murphy and two passengers who were not pinned, Steven Thomas Martin, 22, Madison Street, and Brandie Nicole Reed, 22, Moulder Road, were treated at BCMC.
Murphy lost control of her car, overcorrected and struck a utility pole on the driver's side, Officer Jerry Lawrence said.
The police report indicates Murphy was charged with DUI. Two counts of forgery are listed against Murphy on Monday's Bedford County Jail intake.

simiple minded people shouldnt expect much though. it seems as if its so much easier for people to complain than to take a stand. you have to be the change you want to see in the world.
isnt that some what in the bible?
IF 8 out of 26 are Hispanic, that leaves 18 non-Hispanic and somehow to me that seems like it's the majority. To assume that the 8 in question are illegal is pretty much faulty though.
Bedford co. don't know how to handle the legals that do wrong let alone the illegals.
Seems like our government officials are taking care of the illegals. The quicker they are sent back where they came from the better!!!!!!
8 out of 26
Has anyone noticed how many Hispanic names are in the Police Blotter.
Some were released with bond and some held.
I was wondering when they are arrested are they checked for proper ID and if they are not legal what heppens then are they released anyway?
