Six planters stolen from Carriage House

Six planters containing newly set plants were carried without permission from Carriage House Inn, Colloredo Boulevard, early Saturday night, Shelbyville police said.

Officers were told of a possible connection with an individual who left the assisted living facility owing back rent last year.

Two other thefts were reported to Shelbyville police:

*A bottle containing methadone pills was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a Woodmont Drive home overnight Monday.

The pills were located in the car's console, according to the owner.

*The license plate was stolen Monday afternoon from a truck owned by a Shelbyville man.

The owner was uncertain of an exact location from where the plate was taken.

Jail intake

The following persons were arrested since Monday by the Bedford County Sheriff's Department, Shelbyville Police Department, Tennessee Highway Patrol or 17th Judicial District Drug Task Force and processed through Bedford County Jail. They are only charged; guilt or innocence will be determined by the courts.

*Phillip Wayne Chism, 39, Fay Creek Road; no driver's license/exhibited on demand; released, $250 bond

*James Eddie Crawford, 44, Eagle Boulevard; driving on revoked/suspended license, violation of probation; held, $32,500 bond

*Thomas Wesley Snell II, 34, Enden Avenue; contempt of court; held, no bond

*Brenda Kay Wilson, 40, no address available; DUI; held, $500 bond
