Senior John Dawson was the lone Eagle to capture a set against the Stars, who finished runner-up in the state championship last year.
"John has been an asset to this team in lots of ways," Shelbyville coach Doyle Hutton said. "This was his first year to play, but he is a natural leader."
Senior and No. 1 seed Justin Gordon was up 4-3 in the first set before Casey Edwards rallied back for Siegel to claim a 6-4, 6-1 victory.
"Everyone who knows Justin is impressed by him," Hutton said. "He's in the top 10 of his class and has worked extra hard on his fitness this year. He's the caliber of player that's going to be difficult to replace."
Shelbyville's Jordan Phelps lost 6-2, 6-1 to Ben Todd. Nisharg Patel dropped his match 6-1, 6-0 to Peter Elbaum. Eagle Corey Young was swept 6-0, 6-0 by Michael Horencamp.
Patel and A.J. Harris round out the group of departing seniors.
"Both of these boys are talented and team players," Hutton said. "They are two reasons this squad has done as well as it has."
Phelps, Young, Philip Gant and Trestin York return to next year's team.
"We'll be young, but I suspect that these boys will work hard to continue the tradition of SCHS tennis."
Shelbyville hosts the individual portion of the 4-AAA tourney at noon Monday.

Doyle Hutton and crew have another fine season. Coach Hutton consistantly produces a winning team. Congrats to all.
