Wednesday, May 21, 2008

The Bedford County grand jury indicted 27 persons on 84 charges at its May session Monday.

Among suspects indicted are Jonathan Wayne Anders, 20, and Deanna Jean Anders, 21, both of Old Columbia Road, and Tony Terrell Hord, 19, Barksdale Lane, accused of attempting to rob the construction supervisor of the new Bedford County Medical Center while smashing his truck with a baseball bat in late November 2007.

Witnesses told Deputy Caleb Doak four persons in a tan Ford Explorer began attacking the truck occupied by Jeffrey E. Truelove, 60, Franklin, at the hospital construction site on U.S. 231 North.
