Among suspects indicted are Jonathan Wayne Anders, 20, and Deanna Jean Anders, 21, both of Old Columbia Road, and Tony Terrell Hord, 19, Barksdale Lane, accused of attempting to rob the construction supervisor of the new Bedford County Medical Center while smashing his truck with a baseball bat in late November 2007.
Witnesses told Deputy Caleb Doak four persons in a tan Ford Explorer began attacking the truck occupied by Jeffrey E. Truelove, 60, Franklin, at the hospital construction site on U.S. 231 North.
The three suspects and a juvenile in the SUV denied knowledge of the incident when arrested a few minutes later just inside Shelbyville on Fairfield Pike, Doak said.
Witnesses met officers at the site of the traffic stop and identified the suspects, Doak said.
