Special Spaces began working on converting Hailee's room in January. First, a tempered window was installed to replace the former garage door. Adjacently, a door was put in, connecting Hailee's room to her mother's room.

After months of anticipation, Hailee Green can finally take comfort in a new bedroom designed especially for her.

And, like any 9-year-old child, she'll take great pleasure in the entertainment that will be provided by the 42-inch flat screen television that now hangs on her bedroom wall.

Special Spaces, a Knoxville-based charitable organization that develops and constructs special bedrooms for children with special needs, provided the room makeover and the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Hailee's wish for a new television.

The daughter of Misty Sudberry and Donald Green, Hailee suffers from an extremely rare genetic disorder called Sanfilippo syndrome: mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS), an incurable disease that severely limits her both physically and mentally.

Misty Sudberry (center), and her daughters Hailee Green (right) and Jacie, were thrilled when the Make-A-Wish Foundation recently delivered a 42-inch flat screen television. The television provided the perfect finishing touch to her room which was made over by Special Spaces.

Vanderbilt Children's Hospital determined Hailee's condition five years ago when symptoms of the disease, such as hearing loss, vision stigmatism, lagging development and extreme restlessness, prompted Sudberry to take her daughter to Vanderbilt.

Special Spaces began the room transformation earlier this year by turning the family's former garage into a bedroom that would be functional, safe and cosmetically appealing to Hailee.

A tempered window replaced the garage door; the team put up sheet rock, installed a connecting door from the former garage to Sudberry's bedroom, built a closet and worked on heating and cooling units.

After recently being completed, Hailee now finds comfort within her new bedroom's bright pink walls that display words of encouragement ... believe, hope, pray, peace, friendship.

Make-A-Wish, a well-known organization that grants all sorts of wishes to children suffering from serious medical conditions, contacted Sudberry recently and asked if Hailee had a wish. Sudberry's answer: A 42-inch Sanyo LCD television.

It was the perfect way to complete a very special project.

What a cute room. That is real sweet. God Bless Hailee and your family.
