Thefts and burglaries reported to area authorities since last week:
* A rock-tossing burglar grabbed vodka and ran early Sunday after smashing a window at Economy Liquors, Madison Street, Shelbyville police report.
Surveillance video obtained by officers shows the man, wearing gloves and a red hooded sweatshirt covering his face, threw a rock through the window and took a bottle of Burnett's Blueberry Vodka valued at $6.99.
* At least one goat is stolen from property on Railroad Avenue nearly each weekend, the BCSD was told Sunday.
The property owner claimed he maintains his fencing too well for the goats to escape.

* The owner of an unoccupied home on Eighth Street in Bell Buckle says a wood burning stove, taken before Saturday, is the latest of multiple furnishings taken over the past two years.

* Copper wire and two sets of aluminum door frames were stolen between mid-May and Thursday from behind Race Connection, South Cannon Boulevard, police said.
* Three vehicles described as "scrap" were removed from a Mullins Hollow Road farm between midnight and 9 a.m. May 27, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Department report released Monday.
The vehicles were a maroon 1968 Datsun sedan, a white 1968 Chevrolet truck and a 1988 Ford one-ton dual wheel truck.
Skid loader tracks in mud indicated a front end loader on the property was used to move the vehicles, the BCSD said.

My experience with these scrap people is, if ya don't give it to them, they'll come back later and steal it.
Who owns a front in loader and is out of jail? Where were the cars taken? The VIN number is turned in at the scrap yard, who by the way has cameras. Does the wheels of justice turn slow or am I imagining it?
