A manhunt was underway this morning for a Shelbyville man accused of first degree murder in Williamson County.

Police are looking for 24-year-old Timothy William Sparrow of Morton Street, Shelbyville.

Sparrow allegedly shot and killed someone in Williamson County early today, Detective Brian Crews of the Shelbyville Police Department said.

A BOLO (be on the lookout) message was issued for Sparrow and Shelbyville police spotted his vehicle and engaged in a short foot pursuit of the suspect, Crews said.

Sparrow is considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The detective also said that Williamson County authorities are in Shelbyville assisting with the search, concentrating their efforts in the Anthony Lane area, where Sparrow has family.

Sparrow is described as an African-American, 6' 3," weighing 265 pounds with short hair. Anyone with information should call the Shelbyville Police Department at 684-5811.
