It's the 13th year for the sale, which is scheduled to coincide with the first weekend of the National Walking Horse Celebration.
Last year saw dozens of vendors from other towns setting up booths around the downtown square and in Memorial Park. Cars with out-of-town visitors to Wartrace lined both sides of Highway 64. Each year local residents and churches are invited to participate.
The event is sponsored by the Wartrace Chamber of Commerce, which produces a list of yard sale participants along with a map showing the locations of the vendors. The maps are available at area businesses and make it possible for visitors to find out-of-the-way sales in residential areas and places to eat.
Everything from antiques, hand made crafts, attic artifacts; autos and a recreational vehicle were available at last year's event. Local restaurants and food vendors will cater to hungry visitors.
Vendors can still reserve space by calling the Wartrace Chamber of Commerce at 389-9999 or 389-6144.

I hope that the days above are a mistake. Shouldn't it read Friday and Saturday. I thought you have to start setting up on Thursday and ready to sell by Friday morning. Please let us know.
Good catch. The newspaper received a press release with the wrong dates, but you are correct -- it's Friday and Saturday. I've changed the story to conform, and we were able to correct it in the print version before that went to press.
Thanks for bringing it to our attention, and we apologize for any inconvenience.
