Officer Jeff Goodrich said he could smell marijuana as he approached the apartment and saw the substance in a plastic bag on the floor as Javier Rojas Rodriguez, 18, Deery Street, answered the door Tuesday.
Evelyn Jean Navarrette, 19, a resident of the apartment, and Rodriguez were charged with simple possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Navarette posted $1,500 bond and Rodriguez remains in confinement, Bedford County Jail records indicate.
Kayne Everette Plouffe, 18, Troupe Road, posted $1,000 bond on a charge of simple possession.
Thefts
* Nine XBox 360 controllers were stolen from Wal-Mart, North Main Street, Shelbyville police were told Tuesday.
One of the controllers was discovered at Game Stop in the nearby Mane Street Centre, a store loss prevention employee told police.
The controllers had been taken between Aug. 18 and Tuesday, police said.
* A truck reported stolen from an Elm Street shopping center Aug. 12 has been found in Nashville with contents of the tool box missing, owner Andrew Brantley of Shelbyville told police Tuesday.

* Donnie Lee Crick, 43, Higgins Road; violation of probation; held, $2,500 bond
* James Avery Crowell, 20, Burnt Hill Road; failure to appear; held, $5,000 bond
* Evelyn Jean Navarrette, 19, Anthony Lane; simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia; released, $3,500 bond
* Kayne Everette Plouffe, 18, Troupe Road; simple possession; released, $1,000 bond
* DeJuan Koshief Roberts, 20, Sixth Street, Bell Buckle; jail escape; released, $2,500 bond
* Javier Rojas Rodriguez, 18, Deery Street; simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia; held, $1,500 bond
