Eagles, Feet handed golf losses

Shelbyville competed in a nine-hole match Tuesday with District 8-AAA foes Lincoln County and Franklin County. Host Lincoln County won the match with a 164, Franklin County followed with a 166 while Shelbyville had a team score of 174.

Eagle golfer Chase Bledsoe shared meadlist honors along with Lincoln County's Matt Morrow and Franklin County's Zach Burris.

Shelbyville hosts Webb Friday at River Bend Country Club.

Cannon County 170, Webb 184: Justin Davenport led the victors Tuesday at Willowbrook Golf Course with a 36. Matthew Hudson carded a 40, Colin Jones a 46 and Matthew Stluka a 48.

Sutton Jones paced the Feet (1-3) by shooting a 42. Blake Cocanougher followed with a 45. Austin Skelton's 48 and Manan Jobalia's 49 rounded out their scoring.

Webb faces Cascade, Community and Moore County on Thursday at River Bend Country Club.
