Webb's girls opened up their 2008 soccer season in fine fashion by shutting down Huntland 3-0 in Bell Buckle on Tuesday afternoon.

Senior Stevie Lawson provided the first goal of the year off an assist from junior Melissa Wisniewski.

The Lady Feet maintained their 1-0 advantage all the way to intermission.

Katie Jones doubled the Webb upper hand thanks in part to an assist from fellow junior Christina Barnes. Freshman Candler Huddleston tallied the final net-thinner with an assist via senior Kelsey Sutton.

"We kept possession and tried to play the ball feet-to-feet," Webb coach Adrian Anderson said.

Senior goalkeeper Katie Griffin had four saves to help preserve the shutout.

The next match for the Lady Feet is against Boyd Christian in McMinnville on Friday.
