Jose Villanueva tacked on two conversion runs from his fullback spot.
The Purple and Gold defense held the Cougars to fewer than 100 yards total offense and did not allow them to cross midfield in the contest in a dominating performance led by Villanueva, Frost, Dowdy and Eric Haman.
It was the second week in a row that the defense overpowered their opponent. This time around, Community's special teams pitched in a big play with a blocked punt in the third quarter.
It was an area that coach Aaron Reid promised after the game last week would show some improvement after allowing a couple of big plays that allowed their opponent to hang around longer than the Vikes would have liked.
Community (3-1) welcomes Westwood on Thursday at 6:30.

I believe the whole team has come together as ONE this year, Cooper is looking better and better as the Juniors Q.B. and the plays he seems to know pretty well. Also the team has a strong tie together to bring them to these wins... keep going and pressing on Vikings!!!! You are shining!!
Thank you!
