Middle Champs fall on the road

Cascade Middle fell to 1-5 on the season after dropping a road contest 14-0 to Moore County Middle on Thursday night.

There were few bright spots for the young Champions who fell behind 6-0 in the second quarter after an interception gave the hosts a short field.

Moore County's second touchdown came in the third quarter with a two-point conversion to follow.

Cascade's offense struggled as they failed to make it inside the Raider 20-yard line.

On a positive note, the Champs won the turnover battle 3-1, including a fumble recovery by the second unit.

The local boys wrap up their regular season against Community Junior High in Unionville on Thursday night at 6:30.
