Holland seeks re-election to city council

Jo Ann Holland has announced her candidacy for re-election to the First Ward seat on Shelbyville City Council in the Nov. 4 general election.

Holland, a Bedford County native, is a graduate of Community High School. She was married to the late Robert L. Holland Jr. and has a daughter and three grandchildren.

She is a member of Shelbyville Breakfast Rotary Club and Shelbyville Woman's Club. She is a Chamber of Commerce ambassador and serves on various other boards and committees. She is a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

"It's been my privilege for the past 12 years to serve the residents of Shelbyville on local issues," said Holland. "If re-elected, I will continue to support and serve the people in my district, Shelbyville and Bedford County to the best of my ability. I welcome your phone calls and opinions, because I am proud to be from Bedford county and want the best for each and every one of us.
