Webb was unable to defend home turf in the East/Middle Region golf tournament at River Bend Country Club but were able to secure some spots in the Division II state tournament on an individual basis.

Davidson Academy totaled a Monday best 346 to earn the right to take the region title home behind medalist Ben Price's 76. University School of Nashville followed with a 360. Both schools played well enough to advance in team play.

The Feet totaled a 403.

"Overall it has been a very enjoyable golf season with great kids to work with," said Webb coach Jeff Mitchell, whose team's season ends with a record of 7-10-1. "We lose one solid senior in Sutton Jones who has played since his eighth-grade season. Everyone else will return and they all seem to really enjoy playing and working at their games."

Jones led the Feet with an 87. Blake Cocanougher scored a 94. Garrett King carded a 100 and Austin Skelton 122.

Calli Kerbo stroked a 118 as the lone Bell Buckle lady on the course.

Jones, Cocanougher, King and Kerbo all head to Old Fort in Murfreesboro on Tuesday and Wednesday to compete for a state title.

Davidson Academy (157) and USN (167) left with first and second place, respectively, on the girls side.

DA's Stephanie Smith paced the field by scoring a 76. Sara Garmezy's 81 led USN.
