He was the brother of Gladys Rose of Shelbyville.

Coy Spurgeon, 80, of Toledo, Ohio, died there Tuesday at Fairview Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Friday at Flanders Road Church of Christ, where he was a member and a deacon for many years.
