Wendell Eugene Nelson, 43, Highway 130 West, allegedly admitted ownership of a bag of rolling papers noticed by Officer Darrell Birdsong, then, when questioned, said he'd hidden the marijuana under a seat.
Officer Jody Shelton said he found two bags containing 14.91 grams of marijuana.
Nelson, charged with simple possession of a schedule VI drug and possession of drug paraphernalia, posted $1,500 bond, Bedford County Jail records indicated.
The truck's driver, Steven Aubrey Leverette, 53, Buzzard Roost Road, was charged with fifth offense DUI. Leverette alleged made three lane changes without using a turn signal and drifted across two lanes before stopping, Shelton said.
Leverette was being held on $5,500 bond, according to jail records.
