Shelbyville Central basketball fans now have a chance to own a piece of Eaglette history.

The Eaglette basketball program will have a silent bid auction on a number of banners and basketballs at three upcoming Tuesday home games.

Nine banners and 12 basketballs will be up for bid tonight, against Mt.Juliet; Dec. 9, against Tullahoma; and Dec. 16, against defending AAA state champion Wilson Central.

"These banners were in storage after being replaced and it was decided to offer these items in a silent auction to Eaglette fans," event coordinator Wendell Agnew said.

Minimum bids start at $100. Bids may be raised in $50 increments and all must be listed by the end of the Shelbyville-Wilson Central game.

If two or more bidders are competing at that time for a specific item, they will be given the opportunity to bid against each other in a live auction.

Bids can also be given by calling Agnew at 684-7404 before 5 p.m. Dec. 16.
