The Purple and Gold (8-4) placed four starters in double figures and just missed a fifth as they jumped out to a 17-12 lead after one quarter and enjoyed a 30-23 advantage at the intermission.
The Viking defense held Watertown to a scant 10 points in the third stanza while placing 18 on the board by dominating the paint from the floor and the glass to lead 48-33 entering the fourth frame.
"We played very well tonight," Community coach Jace Bryant said. "We had balanced scoring and it is good to know that we can pick up the slack when someone has an occasional off-night.
"I was really pleased with the way that we finished the game. It was one of our best quarters of the year so far."
The fourth quarter started with Watertown making a mini-run to cut the Viking lead to 10 points, but things turned sour very quickly on the comeback attempt when Dustin White was fouled during a shot attempt and a technical foul was called on the opposing bench.
White stepped to the line and nailed four free throws in as many attempts to snatch the momentum and provide the impetus for a Community 10-0 run to compete the rout.
"White's foul shots were a key moment in the game and gave us back the edge to finish strong," Bryant said. "Zach Haynes came up big with 15 points and he is really playing well for us on both ends of the court. He is playing with a lot of confidence and has very quietly become one of the leaders of this team.
"We are going to enjoy this one for a few hours and then we have to start thinking about a tough game waiting for us on Tuesday."
Community was led in scoring by Wylder Norris with 17 for the second consecutive game. Haynes netted 15, Justin Stallings had 12 and David Natale contributed 10.
White added nine.
Community shot a very respectable 19-of-27 from the charity stripe.
The Vikings take on AAA opponent Smyrna today at 2:30.
