Blueprints for the site show that the proposed building, which would be the bank's first location in the Bedford County market, would be located at the corner of North Main Street and Hickory Drive.
The lot would take up 0.77 acres, with a total of 25 parking spaces and three drive-up lanes.
Planning and engineering comments from city staff notes that the previous building was on a septic tank and that the owner may cross North Main with a bore to access sanitary sewer, but will be required to obtain a permit from the Tennessee Department of Transportation and provide a profile showing all utility crossings.
Also on next week's agenda will be a grading and site plan request from K&L Investments for 415 Lane Parkway and a request for site plan approval for West Cedar Street Townhouses at the southeast corner of West Cedar and and Sevier streets, as well as two rezoning requests.
The commission will also meet in its capacity as the board of zoning appeals to consider an administrative review for lots located at the corner of Austin Avenue and Midland Road, requested by John L. Anderton.
The commission meets next Thursday at 6 p.m. in the courtroom of the city hall annex (Shelbyville police department).

Dont really know why we need another bank. All of our businesses are going else where. Look around, all you see here now is banks, car lots, and mexican based businesses.
Just what we need. Another bank. inthegarden, why must you always condem?
What do we need another Bank for? They must think that since summer is coming around the corner people are going to be doing alot of building. ROFL. Maybe it is the stimulus package, for schools, road improvements, etc. Or perhaps we are going to get another builing complex like Davis Estates Apartment built close to Tyson. ROFL.
