A new addition to the city of Shelbyville's website, however, may take away some of the pain of paying for a traffic infraction by allowing you to pay your ticket online.
Last October, the city council authorized entering into an agreement with the Paymentus Corporation to establish a credit card payment plan for the police department so that city traffic tickets can be paid for via the Internet.
The link is located in the upper left hand corner of the city's website, at www.shelbyvilletn.org. Just look for the cartoon of the cop writing a ticket, on the left side of the web page, and click.
Paymentus accepts payments using Visa, MasterCard, Discover and Electronic Check.
The firm receives an instant notification of a person's payment and posts it to your account the next business day.
For each payment, you will receive a confirmation number and Paymentis will also send you an e-mail confirmation for your records.
Paymentus also charges a convenience fee for paying bills using the online service.

www.shelbyvilletn.org/nlineservice doesn't work...

And maybe you should get glasses and read correctly.
Just ignore him Evil Monkey . . . your only feeding the flames of a useless troll.
That might work well if it cleared the courts of folks willing to admit guilt and pay what they owe.
Folks who need to dispute the charges will still have the chance to present their case and the irresponsible guilty aren't ready to pay up or lose their privileges anyway.
Paymentus is listed as a "JLA investment."
I guess what works for the Justice League of America would be fine for Shelbyville.
(Not the same JLA? Never mind...)
