Harris settles for split with CTC visitor

Harris Middle's Eaglettes built a huge lead and held on to claim a 10-7 win over visiting Tullahoma Middle in the first game of a doubleheader in Central Tennessee Conference action Saturday.

The Eaglettes (4-4, 4-4 CTC) took a 10-0 lead into the fifth inning but Tullahoma rallied for seven runs in their final at-bat.

Harris collected 11 hits, including six extra base hits.

Morgan Ward smashed three triples, Tiana Sanders ripped a pair of doubles and Jessica Daniel added a triple.

Jami Johnson got the win. She struck out three and didn't allow a walk.

Ward closed out the game in the fifth.

Tullahoma 16, Harris 4: The Lady Wildcat bats came alive in the second half of the double-dip.

Ward collected three hits to pace the Eaglettes.

Harris entertains Franklin County North this afternoon at 5.
