'Obama-nation' won't admit flaw in its 'king'

To the editor:

Every time I read these letters, all I see is "trash the Republican/Conservative side." There are other opinions.

To Mr. Owens ... I'm glad you see an increase in your paycheck because I sure haven't.

To Mr. Davis ... There is no way that you can say these are 'non-existent' issues. It sounds like you have something personal against Mrs. Eyman.

Yes, we are educated. We do check our facts. I refuse to support a so-called president who made it possible to send American money to foreign countries to support abortion clinics and the like (during Sanctity of Life week no less). I refuse to support a so-called president who bows to leaders of other nations and plays buddy-buddy with the likes of Chavez. Obama is on a campaign to apologize for the United States. Let's remember who sends food and aid to countries like this and we are still "spit" on around the world.

He said he was going to bring troops home. Go check your numbers on that one, too, and see exactly how many more he's sent to Afghanistan.

George Bush made a lot of mistakes but the Obama-nation won't admit a single flaw in its king. What a farce!

Here's the hope my family has since Obama. We hope my husband will find a job. We hope we won't lose our home. We hope our children might still be able to go to college. We hope several of our friends survive just the same.

I'm happy it is working out for you but if you think this man has united the country, you must not be listening. Some of us are sinking fast and my government does not give a hoot.

Debra Reid, Unionville

Thank a nurse this week

To the editor:

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants practicing in Southern Middle Tennessee are dedicated to providing patient care in a variety of healthcare settings.

Our goal of caring for patients would not be possible if not for the skills and compassion of nurses. Patients of Coffee, Franklin, Bedford, Lincoln and Moore counties are fortunate to have highly trained nurses serving in hospitals, skill care settings, home health agencies, hospice, mental health agencies, medical offices and schools.

Our local nurses are focused on mastering excellent clinical skills, demonstrating sound medical judgments, providing patient education and assisting family based patient care.

Many good nurses strive to exceed in their profession. During Nurses' Week of May 11, may we remind patients and family members to thank a nurse.

Members of Southern Middle Tennessee Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistants salute our nurses for their dedicated nursing care.

Patti Kamykowski, FNP-BC, Southern Middle Tennessee Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
