Play was suspended following Tuesday's games with six, possibly seven, games moved to Saturday.
Forrest (21-5) advances as the top seed from 9-A. They host East Robertson on Monday night at 6. Cascade (16-8-1) is 9-A's other representative. They bus to Erin that same night to play District 10-A champion Houston County.
The cancellation effectively ends the high school softball seasons for Boyd Christian, Community, Eagleville and Middle Tennessee Christian.
"This is not the way we wanted to end," Community coach Libby Frost said. "We felt very strongly that we had a shot at going to region. It's not fair to the girls that we didn't even get a shot. We are playing our best ball right now, and it doesn't matter because they don't even get a chance to prove themselves."
The Viqueens close with a final record of 12-15 and say good-bye to seniors Karlie Joslyn, Erica Keele, Bianca Maselter and Meaghan Therrien.
"I'm really proud of their effort, dedication and progress this year. I look for some amazing things with this program in the future," Frost said.

Coach Frost should be disappointed. Heck, I would be mad. This is not a way to determine a championship. I feel bad for all her girls and all the teams that were denied a chance to compete. If it meant having to play on Mother's Day well into the night, I think they should have done everything to get this in. It's a crying shame.
Libby I sure hate that we did not get to go on the end. It was a very unfair call in how the girls got done. They have played good ball this year and you have done a wonderful job with them. All of the Seniors will surely be missed out there next year but they have done a great job paving the way for all the ones behind them. Keep up the good work team and Coach!!
