The Four-Year-Old Walking Stallions (Canter) class is always a class with a lot of talent and this year was no different. Justin Harris captured the blue ribbon with Lined Walkin. Gameworld and Gary Edwards received the reserve honors.
Owner-Amateur Youth Riders 12-14 Years on Walking Mares or Geldings was won by Lilly Waites and A Private Benjamin. The second place ribbon went to She's Push In Command JA and Lindsay Hess.
Paulette Cheek guided Ultra Copy's Dark Shadow to a win in the Elite Owner-Amateur Lady Riders on Mares or Geldings class. Shakin for Cash and Madeline Tew rode in to receive the reserve honors.
The White Mask carried Lana Copas to capture the award for Owner-Amateur Novice Youth Riders 6-11 on Novice Walking Mares or Geldings Division A. Landon Callicutt and Jose's Border Patrol made their way to receive the reserve honors. Division B had General Willie going to the Blue Ribbon Circle. Reserve honors went to Freak Design and Madeline Coleman.
In the Owner-Amateur Youth Riders 15-17 Years on Walking Ponies He's Extraordinary and Ashley Diamond Pollack made the winning ride. Rudy Rudiger ridden by Alexandria Holland received the reserve honors.
W.H. Hill and Cash's All Star again claimed the first place award in the Owner-Amateur Riders on Walking Horses, Riders 70 Years and Over. Radical Jazz and Mo Nisbett received the reserve honors. Dr. Hill has won this class for four consecutive years and holds the distinction of the oldest rider to ever win a blue ribbon at the world championship horse show. Hill will be 92 in November.
In the Owner-Amateur Youth Riders 12-17 Years on Park Pleasure Walking Mares or Geldings Jesse Laughlin and JFK's Fancy Lady Leslie rode to victory to receive the blue ribbon. Blast of Black Powder and Luke Benham came in second place.
In the Walking Mares, Five Years and Over, Over 15.2 (Canter) class, it was not secret that A Victoria Secret and Gary Edwards were the winning combination while Ms Jose Walks and Charlie Green rode to reserve honors.
The Owner-Amateur Riders on Four-Year-Old Walking Mares or Geldings was a split class. A-Division ribbon went to Showboat Heartstopper and Lisa Evans while Terror On The Boarder and Nancy Groover captured the B-Division ribbon.
In Owner-Amateur Lady Riders on Novice Walking Stallions, The Who with Molly Walters received the blue ribbon. Reserve was taken by Command Again and Mary Ann Blessing.
An extremely deep class of Show Pleasure Walking Mares or Geldings saw She's One Hot Tamale and Tim Smith ride to the winner's circle to receive the blue ribbon. A Line Dancer and Bill Callaway received the reserve honors.
A total of 142 entries came through the gate on Sunday. The paid attendance on Sunday night was 20,076.
The Celebration continues through Sept. 5.
