Webb golfers win tri-match

Behind four eighth graders Webb totaled a season-low 172 to defeat both Middle Tennessee Christian and Community at River Bend Country Club on Thursday.

Blake Cocanougher and Garrett King shared honors for the lowest score on the day by carding a 40 apiece for the Feet (6-6-1). Ben Morris contributed a 45 to the winning effort and Chris Burgoon shot 47.

MTC finished second with a 188 thanks in part to Kirby Parks' 44. Jacob Herring banged out a 45, Taylor Jackson 47 and Luke Adams 52.

Michael Smith's 50 was the top score for the Vikings, who compiled a 204. Zack West and Justin Farris each scored a 51 and Gavin Zealy 52.

Webb faces Shelbyville today, while Community battles Spring Hill on Monday at King's Creek.
