Late-night thief targets high-tech items

Late night brought out a thief at Walmart over the weekend, Shelbyville police said.

A shoplifter took three mobile printers, a video camera and digital camera from the North Main Street store between 2 and 3 a.m. Saturday, police said Tuesday.

The man entered the store with two women and purchased food before leaving alone, police said.

A sercurity staff member at Walmart told police the same man may have entered the store about 3:30 a.m. Monday. The suspect removed the faceplate and screen from a multimedia AV receiver but fled after being seen acting suspiciously by an employee, according to Walmart security.

Vehicles entered

Two vehicles were entered outside Shelbyville stores Monday night, police said.

A GPS unit, radar detector and $480 were stolen from a vehicle at Depot Street Market between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m.

A purse containing $50 was stolen from a vehicle at Food Lion, Colloredo Boulevard, about 8:30 p.m. Monday, police said.

No damage was reported to either vehicle.

Christy Annette Camacho, 38, Railroad Avenue; DUI, leaving scene of accident, implied consent law; released, $3,500 bond

Hope Denise Garrett, 19, Pulaski; drinking age law, public intoxication; released, $500 bond

Shawn Earl Gibson, 31, Lorien Circle; violation of parole; held, no bond

Austin Ray Morelock, 18, Patriot Circle; vandalism (two counts); released, $500 bond

Tracy Lynn Neeley, 34, Halls Mill Road; driving on revoked license, vehicle light law; released, $1,000 bond

Matthew Paul Pilkington, 32, Temple Ford Lane; child abuse/neglect/endangerment; released, $10,000 bond
