The Lady Champions got a much-needed influx of goals from senior Ashley Bledsoe and trotted off the pitch with a 4-2 victory.
Bledsoe scored in the 12th minute to get Cascade's offensive juices flowing. Her second goal of the first half propelled them to a 2-1 lead at intermission.
Laura Jett dribbled through the Tigerette defense for the third score for the Lady Champions (4-2, 3-1 11-A/AA). Bledsoe then rounded out the hosts' twine-thinning with the final stage of her hat trick.
Goalkeeper Kayla Carden helped keep the Marshall County strikers at bay by pawing away six saves.
Next up for Cascade is their most challenging match thus far when they bus to Franklin to take on district leader Page on Tuesday night at 7 following a junior varsity match.
The Lady Patriots, led by 11-A/AA top scorer Kate Maguigan, ended Cascade's season in 2008 in the district tournament semifinals. Page won 7-1 in an extremely physical contest.

Let me be the first to say great job! Absolutely the best game of the season. I think it would be tough for anyone to find much to complain about in that one.
Kudos to Coach Lewis on the changes and keeping her chin up thru the adversity. It's like they say" what doesn't break you only makes you stronger" and her decisions as a coach yesterday were spot on!
The added rest Bledsoe got in the first showed late in the second when she was able to give us the comfort level of having a two shot lead late with an outstanding long range goal.
Contributions by younger players such as Eddy (great game) proved they can be depended on for valuable minutes.
As a parent, I'd like to thank Monica and the girls for listening to suggestions and making corrections. I truly feel this team is loaded with talent and the sky is the limit if you continue to play as a team and Monica utilizes all the many resources she has on this team.
